Visa Application
China is trialling visa-free travel for citizens from France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Malaysia for a year, from 1 December 2023 to 30 November 2024, ordinary passport holders from these countries can do business or travel in China without a visa for up to 15 days.
UPDATE (January 25, 2024): Singapore and China reach agreement on mutual 30-day visa-free entry; arrangement begins on February 9, 2024.

The following are the minimum documents for applying a Tourist Visa (L Visa). Other documents or requirements may be necessary, especially if you are not applying for the usual L visa. For detailed information, please consult the Chinese Embassy in your country.
1. Passports
With at least two blank visa pages (amendment pages and pages with bar codes are not acceptable for visa stamping), valid for at least 6 months.2. Visa Application Forms and Photos


When you have the required items ready, submit the application at the appropriate visa office of the Chinese embassy/consulate-general, or Visa Application Centre in your country. Conference organizing committee can issue an Invitation Letter to assist with your visa application.
